What a hassle. I told her to keep her eye out for any random packages arriving since I gave my home address and not my school address. "Who is it coming from?" I don't know mom that is the whole point. Told her it was coming from a friend, her head might assplode if I said I participated in a gift exchange with people over the internet I've never met. But that doesn't mean we are not actually friends my friends.

I tried explaining our Fourza racing series to my mom once. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact I was talking to and playing Xbox with "people I've never met apart from a random car website, why are you calling them by their first names, do you know them? Do they know your real name? WHY WOULD YOU TELL THEM THEY COULD BE ANYBODY AND YOU'RE JUST GIVING OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION LIKE THAT WHAT IF THEY FIND WHERE YOU LIVE"

Well, then they'd just come over and we'd check out each other's cars and shoot the shit.

Try explaining a car meet to a mother. My dad knows what it is and wishes to go (work hours suck). I go with my few gearhead buddies and my mom thinks everyone there has a criminal record for street races, human trafficking, and drugs. Wait, this is pretty much every fast and furious movie plot.

Same here. She didn't understand the plan to drive to PA for some hard to find crap for my E38. I came back with $42 in junkyard stuff for various vehicles. Guess who wasn't happy with a rear seat cushion on the carpet.

le sigh I know. I think I've been to just 4 yards and only seen one Miata. But I was also never looking for Miatas at that point. Regardless I'll definitely post when Im going to a yard. I'll most likely be going to places in MD and likewise I'll probably be going by myself since I'll have nothing better to do over break...unless any Opponauts can join me.
